Elisabeth Crain, PsyD, is a seasoned psychotherapist, renowned for her practical and contemporary approach to mental health. Coined the “Shrink for the Modern Human,” Dr. Elisabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California (USC) and her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Throughout her career, spanning more than a decade, Dr. Elisabeth has honed her expertise in a diverse range of psychological challenges, tailoring her support to individuals across various age groups—from children to adults. Her roles at the Well Baby Center, Luther Middle School, and the Psychological Healing Center have equipped her with the essential tools to navigate issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, personality disorders, familial or relational problems, trauma, and more. In each of her counseling roles, Dr. Elisabeth utilizes person-centered and psychodynamic therapy to support and empower her clients. In addition to these institutional roles, Dr. Elisabeth also engages in teachings and trainings for clinicians in mental health facilities, where she imparts her knowledge on specific topics in the field, such as psychodynamic theory and maternal mental health.
Dr. Elisabeth now operates a thriving private practice in Los Angeles, specializing in family and couples counseling, inner child work, modern parenting, maternal mental health support, narcissistic abuse recovery, and other mental health challenges relevant to our modern society. She incorporates an array of therapeutic modalities into her work with each client.
